Traffic disruptions continue at Ross Street and 30 Avenue

Local motorists and pedestrians are being advised of further traffic disruptions at the intersection of Ross (50) Street at 30 Avenue for paving.

City officials acknowledge the intersection was expected to reopen August 24, but the closure has been extended to 7:00 a.m. tomorrow (Friday) morning while crews work to complete the project. Motorists are advised to plan an alternate route, if possible.

Signs are in place to notify motorists of the intersection closure, and a flag person is present to direct traffic. Drivers are reminded to slow down and obey all signs when driving in construction zones. Pedestrians are reminded to cross only at designated crosswalks.

All road construction is weather dependent, and schedules may be subject to change.
