Sylvan Lake golfer Logan Graf had himself an historic performance at the 2022 Canada Summer Games in Niagara on Thursday.
Graf broke a new low single-round score in Canada Games history as he fired a 7- under-par 65 Thursday at the Legends on the Niagara Golf Course-Battlefield Course. Round 3 takes place Friday.
Elsewhere, on the volleyball court, Team Alberta finished the third day of week 2 at the Games with an impressive lead up in Thursday’s preliminary game versus British Columbia. Adding to Thursday’s excitement was a whole volleyball legacy team in the bleachers. Officials note, the men’s volleyball team has grown up playing the sport together as the fathers of Aaron Elser, Mark Edwards, Reeve Gingera, Logan and Mason Greves all played together on Canada’s men’s national volleyball team.
In addition to this, both Gingera and Greves also played on the men’s volleyball team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Summer Games. With all this legacy supporting them on the sidelines the men’s team won 3-0 over team BC. on Thursday.
