Rebels, WHL release full 2022-23 schedule

The Red Deer Rebels and entire Western Hockey League have revealed the full breadth of the 2022-23 season’s schedule.

For Red Deer, the season begins Sept. 23 in Edmonton where the Rebels will face the 2022 WHL champion Oil Kings.

All home games at the Peavey Mart Centrium begin at 7 p.m., aside from Monday, February 20 when the Rebels host the Medicine Hat Tigers for a Family Day matinee at 2 p.m.

Interconference play returns this season as the Rebels welcome B.C. Division teams back to the Peavey Mart Centrium for the first time since 2018-19.

In February, the Rebels will embark on a road trip through the U.S. Division for the first time in three years as they visit the Spokane Chiefs (Feb. 4), Everett Silvertips (Feb. 5), Portland Winterhawks (Feb. 7), Seattle Thunderbirds (Feb. 10) and Tri-City Americans (Feb. 11).

All Rebels games during the 2022-23 WHL Regular Season will once again be heard live on 106.7 REWIND Radio and watched online through WHL Live.

The Rebels will play four preseason games prior to the start of the 2022-23 WHL Regular Season: Fri. Sept. 9 @ Calgary Hitmen (7 p.m., Tsuut’ina Seven Chiefs Sportsplex), Sat. Sept. 10 vs. Calgary (7 p.m., Peavey Mart Centrium), Friday. Sept. 16 @ Lethbridge Hurricanes (7 p.m., Enmax Centre), Sat. Sept. 17 vs. Lethbridge Hurricanes (7 p.m., Peavey Mart Centrium).
