Innisfail RCMP investigate break-in and arson

Two youth are facing charges after a break-in and fire in Innisfail this week.

In the early morning hours of June 20, 2022, Mounties say an off –duty RCMP officer observed a fire outside the Innisfail School Campus and the adjacent skate park. Police say the Innisfail Fire Department attended both scenes and quickly extinguished the fires.

RCMP were able to determine that the school campus had been broken into; with a large jug of hand sanitizer stolen and used to start fires in a garbage can outside of the school and a porta-potty at the skate park.

The RCMP investigation has led to the arrest of two Innisfail youths aged 15 and 16.
