Sole Survivors Walk-A-Thon: Blackfalds students leaving footprints on the road ahead

May 10, 2022 | 2:03 PM

Central Alberta Victim & Witness Support Society is thrilled to be partnering with Blackfalds Family & Community Support Services, the Town of Blackfalds and local schools for an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for essential support services at the upcoming Sole Survivors Walk-A-Thon, May 18 in Blackfalds.

The event is being held in conjunction with Victim & Survivors of Crime Week (May 15 – May 21) as an opportunity to recognize victims and witnesses of crime and trauma and the challenges and journeys they face.

On Wednesday, May 18, students from Iron Ridge Junior Campus and St. Gregory Catholic School will walk together for the cause, collecting pledges to support and raise awareness for both Central Alberta Victim & Witness Support Society and Blackfalds Family & Community Support Services.
