RCMP have arrested a second person and laid additional charges after multiple search warrants in Ponoka.

On Sept. 28, RCMP said that it was on the 25th of that month they’d executed a search warrant at a home in Ponoka.

William Johnston, 42, of Castor, was arrested on seven outstanding warrants and remanded to appear in court on Sept. 28 on those and additional charges.

Now, RCMP say they’ve arrested Kristina Mae Starr, 34, of Ponoka, after a second warrant at a residence in that town.

Starr faces two counts of property obtained by crime over $5000, and five counts of property obtained by crime under $5000. She is scheduled to appear in Ponoka Provincial Court on Nov. 19.

The second search warrant also resulted in the recovery of the enclosed trailer, a larger flat deck trailer, a number of large mud terrain truck tires, numerous hand and power tools and several bundles of cut copper wiring.

As a result, Johnston is facing the following additional charges:

· Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 (two counts)
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (five counts)
· Fail to comply with release order
