Temporary 20 Avenue trail closure

Officials with the City of Red Deer say starting Sept. 29, a portion of the 20 Avenue trail at 50 Street will close temporarily for construction.

The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday, Oct. 15, while construction crews complete the pathway’s restoration work.

A rough terrain detour around this work is expected to be available. Trail users are asked to use alternate trails, obey signs and give the crew room to work.

City officials note this work is weather dependent and the schedule is subject to change.
