Man wanted on outstanding warrants arrested in Red Deer

One man is facing nearly a dozen charges after being arrested while in possession of a stolen vehicle in Red Deer last week.

On Sept. 24, around 4:46 p.m., a member of the Red Deer RCMP was conducting patrols in the area of Riverside Meadows in Red Deer when he saw a suspicious vehicle.

A check of the vehicle licence plate determined that it was stolen.

The Red Deer Crime Reduction Team (CRT) attended the area and monitored the vehicle until it was parked before approaching it, where two men were arrested.

It was determined through investigation that the vehicle was stolen out of Red Deer.

Tyrel George Jackson of no fixed address was arrested on outstanding warrants.

Jackson is facing multiple additional charges including:

  • Possession of property over
  • Possession of property under (x4)
  • Possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine
  • Misuse of credit card
  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Illegal possession of government documents (x2)
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to order

The investigation is ongoing.
