Red Deer Unite – Take Back the Night is an inclusive event that aims to bring together the voices of all allies, advocates, and survivors to bring awareness and educate about the topic of sexual assault. We recognize that sexual assault doesn’t discriminate and can affect individuals of all socioeconomic backgrounds, races, and gender,” organizers say.

“This is why we believe that through collectively coming together we can remove the stigma. We must stand with one another, claiming our bodies as our own, using our voices to tell our truths without shame, and in turn, change the culture. We hope to have you stand with us.”

Event partners include the Central Alberta Sexual Assault Support Centre and Ubuntu-Mobilizing Central Alberta.

Registration is required to participate in the event on Sept. 17.
