Red Deer Arts Council unveils latest artwork

Here are the announcements for the First Friday opening reception happening around Red Deer starting Friday evening.

Red Deer Mayor Tara Veer will also be on hand Friday to announce the opening of the new Meet the Street Festival in downtown Red Deer, which starts at 4 p.m. near the Velvet Olive Lounge.

Artist Laura Frederick uses string and wood materials to create her macrame hanging art. With fine details in each unique piece, Laura has developed her own style while bringing this favorite medium back.
