Drayton Valley RCMP searching for missing man

Drayton Valley RCMP are still asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man.

Mounties were notified on Monday by caregivers that 65-year-old Derek John Henningsmoen from the Drayton Valley area had not returned to his residence since approximately noon.

Initial investigation indicated that Henningsmoen was last seen at the Drayton Valley dog park at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday, however efforts to locate him have been unsuccessful.

RCMP said late Friday that he was also seen early Tuesday morning (June 22) around 2:50 at Petro Canada south.

Henningsmoen has medical concerns that make him vulnerable and Drayton Valley RCMP would like to speak to him to confirm him wellbeing.

Derek John Henningsmoen is described as:

· 5’6” tall

· 150 lbs

· Shoulder length white hair

· Blue eyes with eye glasses

Last seen wearing a black sweater, black pants and a light grey t-shirt.

Drayton Valley RCMP are asking residents with out-buildings in the Drayton Valley and Brazeau areas to check them for Henningsmoen.
