Millet man hoping to turn lotto win into dream come true
A central Alberta man is one step closer to realizing his life-long dream after recently becoming the province’s 11th million dollar or more, lottery winner this year.
Jose Marquez Munoz, of Millet, won $1 million on the Feb. 5 WESTERN MAX draw, and according to lottery officials, his winning ticket was a free WESTERN MAX ticket he redeemed at the Giant Tiger located at 3725 56 Street in Wetaskiwin.
“I’ve wanted to own a dairy farm for as long as I can remember,” said Munoz, in a press release. “It was the first thing I thought of when I scanned my ticket and saw the number one, followed by six zeroes. I could see my dream coming true!”
Munoz won one of the draw’s 14 $1 million prizes by exactly matching the numbers 1, 6, 10, 16, 22, 41 and 48. He also won a WESTERN MAX Free Play.
