Ideas for improvements to Red Deer’s Land Use Bylaw

Mar 9, 2021 | 9:35 AM

The City of Red Deer is embarking on a review of Red Deer’s Land Use Bylaw. Local businesses and community members are invited to share input on changes they would like to see incorporated to the bylaw.

The primary intent of the Land Use Bylaw review project is to review the fundamentals and regulations of the Land Use Bylaw, endeavouring to increase flexibility and adaptability by reducing regulations where they are not necessary.

Equally important, the city says it will be working to improve the document’s usability and reviewing the related processes to improve the customer experience.

“We understand that most people don’t experience the Land Use Bylaw through the regulations, but rather how they experience and feel the city,” said David Girardin, Major Projects Planner.
