Tourism stakeholders invited to telephone town hall with premier, chief medical officer of health
Tourism is among the Alberta business sectors that have been greatly impacted by the prolonged public health restrictions in place due to COVID-19.
Stakeholders with the local tourism industry are invited to take part in a Telephone Town Hall tomorrow (Wednesday) with Premier Jason Kenney, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw and Martin Long, Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Tourism.
They’ll be answering questions about restrictions and the spread of COVID-19, and will discuss ways businesses can help limit spread to keep Albertans safe. Officials will also answer questions about Alberta’s Recovery Plan and how government can continue to provide support during these difficult times.
“What this does is connect the people that are directly affected to the decision makers,” explained Rene Rondeau, Tourism Red Deer’s executive director.
