Two people from Buck Creek arrested for stolen property

Parkland RCMP have arrested two people from Buck Creek for possession of stolen property.

On January 21, 2021, at 4:18 a.m., Parkland RCMP were advised a vehicle suspected of being involved in a recent break and enter had been located.

The vehicle, which was determined to be stolen, was tracked and was later located abandoned on a rural property located south of Spruce Grove near Township Road 510 and Range Road 273.

RCMP Police Dog Services were engaged and the two suspects were located and arrested. The male suspect had a weapon in his possession upon arrest.

43-year-old Jason Pelletier of Buck Creek, Alberta was charged with:

• Possession of property obtained by crime

• Resist arrest

• Weapon possession for dangerous purpose

Jason Pelletier had outstanding warrants. He was remanded into custody and will appear in court on January 27, 2021, at Stony Plain Provincial Court.

34-year-old Kristy Knapp of Buck Creek, Alberta was charged with:

• Possession of property obtained by crime (x2)

• Resist arrest

• Fail to comply with release order (x3)

Kristy Knapp was released and will appear in court on January 27, 2021, at Stony Plain Provincial Court.
