Green signs contract extension with EE Football Team

Fullback Tanner Green has signed a contract extension with the CFL’s Edmonton (EE) Football Team.

It’s a three-year deal that will see him remain with the club through 2023.

Green was the EE Football Team’s fourth-round-pick (32nd overall) in the 2018 CFL draft.

The Lacombe native has since become an important special teams player in his first two seasons, recording 19 special teams tackles in 20 games. He also began seeing more time on offence in 2019 and recorded three receptions for 33 yards.

Green played high school football for the Lacombe Rams and with the Central Alberta Buccaneers in the Alberta Football League before playing university football at Concordia for two seasons.
