A Drayton Valley man is facing drug trafficking charges after a police investigation.

On November 24, 2020, Drayton Valley RCMP were at a residence in Drayton Valley conducting an investigation on an unrelated matter when members observed drugs in plain view.

Drayton Valley RCMP and the General Investigation Section (GIS) obtained a search warrant for the residence and it was executed. During the search, police located and seized a considerably large quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and various drug trafficking paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Logan Merle Bruner of Drayton Valley has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine

Following a judicial hearing, Bruner was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Drayton Valley Provincial Court on December 15, 2020.

“Drayton Valley RCMP remain committed to prioritizing drug trafficking investigations,” says Cpl. Ryan Hoetmer, NCO i/c Drayton Valley GIS Unit.

“Drug trafficking is a serious offence that typically creates a large number of spin-off offences related to the addiction associated with these drugs, including property crime, violence and theft.”
