Lindsay Thurber high school confirms a case of COVID-19
An individual from the Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School community has tested positive for COVID-19.
A letter to parents/guardians and any staff or visitors from school officials on Thursday (Sept. 17) does not say who the individual is, or when and where the person contracted the virus.
Principal Chris Good says in the letter that anyone from the school community deemed to have been in close contact with the individual who tested positive will have already been contacted by school authorities, the letter reads.
Lindsay Thurber remains open to learning and expects students back on Monday. There are no classes Friday as it is a previously scheduled professional development day for staff.
