Active cases of COVID-19 up regionally and provincially

Alberta confirmed 130 new cases in its Thursday update and now has a total of 14,310 cases over the course of the pandemic.

The province now has 1,415 active cases, up 12 from Wednesday, and 12,653 recovered cases, up 118.

There are currently 46 Albertans in hospital, nine in ICU. There are 242 deaths, no change from Wednesday.

The province conducted 9,547 tests in the past 24 hours.

In the Central Zone, active cases are up by four to 36. The zone has had 564 recoveries.

Red Deer now has 13 active cases, up from 10 on Wednesday and seven on Tuesday.

  • Lacombe County: 4 active, 19 recovered
  • Innisfail: 1 active, 6 recovered
  • Sylvan Lake: 3 active, 9 recovered

  • Town of Olds: 1 active, 5 recovered
  • Ponoka County: 0 active, 12 recovered
  • Kneehill County: 0, active, 18 recovered
  • Town and County of Stettler: 0 active, 44 recovered
  • Rocky Mountain House: 0 active, 3 recovered
  • Town of Ponoka: 0 active, 7 recovered
  • Town of Sundre: 0 active, 1 recovered
  • Town of Didsbury: 0 active, 8 recovered
  • Edmonton: 480 active, 2,331 recovered, 60 deaths
  • Calgary: 559 active, 5,737 recovered, 107 deaths
