Two arrests made after robbery at Fort Normandeau

Two people have been arrested and RCMP are searching for a third following an incident in the area of Fort Normandeau on Thursday.

Red Deer RCMP say that it was about 3:30 p.m. when they and emergency medical services responded to a call about a robbery in the area.

It was determined that three individuals approached two females, and an interaction occurred wherein one of the females was injured by an airsoft pistol used by one of the suspects.

The victim was treated for minor injuries, and Mounties made the two arrests.

Jaydyn Lovelace, 24, of Red Deer is charged with robbery, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, breach of probation, and fail to comply with conditions of release.

Brandon Wegner, 29, of Red Deer is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, and fail to comply with conditions of release.

Red Deer RCMP continue to investigate and did not share a description of the third suspect.
