Rocky Police Report July 22- 26

This is a report released to the media from the Rocky Mountain House RCMP giving a brief description of various crimes and call-ins, both solved and unsolved throughout the community between the dates of July 22- 26, 2020.

Not all crimes reported are listed in this report.

July 22

12:17 P.M. – A Pontiac G6 was reported stolen overnight from a residence in Rocky Mountain House. The Calgary Police Service recovered it and charges are pending.

4:11 P.M. – B&E reported to a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation. Some damage was caused to the residence.

4:15 P.M. – Call of a dog attacked by 2 other dogs at a mobile home park in Clearwater County.

July 23

8:52 A.M. – Vehicles damaged while parked in yard of auto body shop in Rocky Mountain House.

9:11 A.M. – Call of a male screaming and causing a disturbance in the parking lot of the Rocky hospital. Police attended and arrested the intoxicated individual who was lodged in cells until he sobered up. No charges were laid.

9:34 P.M. – Police were called to assist EMS with a person who was stabbed on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Under investigation.

10:07 P.M. – Complaint of people setting off fireworks in Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and told the partiers to quiet down.

July 24

00:48 A.M. – Complaint of partiers spilling onto the street in Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and advised the compliant individuals to move inside and keep the noise down.

6:38 A.M. – Stolen vehicle from Drayton Valley recovered in gravel pit on the Forestry Trunk Road.

8:06 P.M. – Report of a female yelling and stomping on a sign at the Rocky Mountain Housebottle depot. She was gone when police arrived.

10:14 P.M. – 2003 Artic Cat stolen quad from a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation.

July 25

5:03 A.M. – Complaint of an assault which had occurred on the O’Chiese First Nation. Under investigation.

8:25 P.M. – Report of a fight in front of an apartment complex in Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and located one of the combatants who had been hit in the head with a baseball bat and was taken to the hospital by EMS. The matter is under investigation.

July 26

2:33 A.M. – EMS & Police were called to a residence in Rocky Mountain House after a male was found passed out and not breathing under a tree, in front of the home. EMS also located an unconscious female across the street. Both individuals were revived by EMS with Narcan and transported to the hospital.

2:30 P.M. – Licence plate stolen off a Ford Focus on the O’Chiese First Nation.

1:20 A.M. – Police attended a Rocky Mountain House convenience store after receiving complaints of suspicious persons hanging around. An adult male shoplifter was arrested and it was confirmed that this prolific offender had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was “at large” after being released on an Undertaking back in May. One of his conditions is that he not be in RMH. The suspect was swearing, yelling, and banging his head inside the vehicle trying to spit on the officer, and saying he wanted to spread Hep C.
