COVID-19 recoveries in Alberta near 6,000

Nearly six thousand Albertans have now recovered from COVID 19.

In her latest update Monday afternoon, Dr. Deena Hinshaw listed the number of recoveries in our province at 5979.

Alberta’s chief medical officer of health says the number of active cases in Alberta now sits at 762, which is 52 less than Sunday.

Forty-five people are currently in Alberta hospitals due to COVID-19, including five in intensive care.

Hinshaw says three more Albertans have died from COVID-19, bringing the total to 138.

Out of 3010 tests completed over the past 24 hours, 19 came back positive. The total number of COVID-19 tests in Alberta now sits at 6,879. A total of 218,740 Albertans have now been tested.

The number of cases in the Central zone remains 99, out of 17,707 people tested.
