Sunday afternoon crash slows traffic in the Penhold area

PENHOLD- RCMP are investigating a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 42 and Highway 2A on Sunday around 4:45 p.m.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and the intersection was blocked until shortly after 7 p.m.

One driver was treated at the scene by EMS and released.

Southbound traffic on 2A was totally shut down and there was restricted access westbound on Highway 592.

Northbound travel on 2A and east/west on 42 were alternating one lane at a time while the scene was cleared.
