Salvation Army less than halfway to reaching Kettle Campaign goal

Dec 17, 2019 | 6:55 PM

With only five days left in their Christmas Kettle Campaign, the Red Deer Salvation Army is at only 48% of their $245,000 goal.

“We are well short of our objective this year,” says Salvation Army Officer, Major Larry Bridger. “We know the economy has hit some families pretty hard, and perhaps some have had to come to us for help for the first time.”

All Kettle donations stay local to fund year-round programs and services, such as senior’s programs, the school meal program, food bank services, summer camps, and much more.

To make donating easier, debit and credit card payments are now accepted right at the kettle. You can also visit FillTheKettle.com to donate online.
