STETTLER- The Clearview Public Schools Board of Trustees and the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 4292 (CUPE) presented donation cheques to Betty Birch from the Stettler Food Bank.

This holiday season Clearview will also see contributions to the Big Valley Food Bank, Castor Food Bank and Coronation Food Bank.

A donation of $1,225 from Clearview Trustees is divided between four local food banks.

CUPE is contributing and additional $300 to be split between the Stettler Food Bank and the Stettler Christmas Hamper.

Betty Birch from the Stettler Food Bank shared, “We have a great community, and we see that all of the time by all of the donations that we receive that allows us to keep our Food Bank stocked up so that no families have to go hungry. Food Bank usage in Stettler and other areas continues to increase. The holidays can be a stressful enough time without worrying if you can keep your family fed, and donations such as the ones made by Clearview and their staff go a long way to helping ease that stress for families in need. We provide food for about 360 families in our community; serving an average of 230 adults and 130 children every month.”
