Guns stolen from Bashaw sports store

Mounties are turning to the public for help in finding the men who stole firearms from a sporting goods store in Bashaw.

The break-in happened during the 4 a.m. hour on Dec. 7 at Bashaw Sports.

According to RCMP, a Chevrolet GMT-400 truck was used to smash the front door and gain entry to the store. Once inside, police say the suspects removed guns from locked cases and loaded them into a white Chevrolet pickup truck and fled.

Police say the Chevrolet GMT-400 truck, which had been stolen, was located and recovered a short time later in Heisler.

The first suspect is described as wearing a dark jacket with two horizontal red stripes on chest, grey hooded sweater under the jacket, blue jeans, work gloves and white and brown shoes

The second suspect was wearing a black jacket over a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark ball cap with lighter-coloured logo, dark jeans, black gloves and black boots.

The third suspect was wearing a dark jacket with light-coloured stripes down the sides, black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, dark gloves, white Adidas sneakers.

And the fourth suspect, according to police, was wearing a dark jacket and dark toque.
