Real Canadian Superstore holiday initiative brings Red Deer Filipino community closer to home

This holiday season Real Canadian Superstore® (RCSS) is helping Red Deer spread love and cheer with the return of its bonus Balikbayan box program, inspired by the modern Filipino tradition.

RCSS’s Filipino customers can send a special surprise home to their loved ones with one convenient stop at the RCSS at A-5016 51 Ave.

From November 22-24, customers can spend $150 at No Frills and $250 at Superstore and fill a 20 pound bonus Balikbayan box with their purchased items.

Superstore will cover the air shipping on every box with items purchased on one receipt, making it a seamless process in one convenient stop!

Sending a Balikbayan box to loved ones overseas is a holiday tradition in the Filipino community. Inspired by the Tagalog word Balikbayan that means return (balik) home (bayan), Filipinos living overseas will fill a box with toys, clothing, appliances, and more, to send home to their family in the Philippines.
