Nominations open for 2020 Women of Excellence Awards

The Red Deer & District Community Foundation (RDDCF) is excited to announce that nominations for the 2020 Women of Excellence Gala are now officially open.

This is the 13^th consecutive year the Foundation will be hosting the event, which will be held on June 13, 2020, and will honour various exemplary women from across Central Alberta.

“What we really want to hit home this year is that the Women of Excellence program is not only about supporting outstanding women who continue to create positive change within our community, but also that the proceeds support a Community Foundation that has contributed over $11 million to charitable projects across Central Alberta in the last 30 years,” Erin Peden, Interim Executive Director of RDDCF said.

“By nominating and acknowledging the women in your circles who work tirelessly to improve the quality of life in your community, you are also supporting projects, programs and organizations that create a stronger Central Alberta.”

Women can be nominated for excellence in 12 different categories including: Agriculture; Arts, Culture and Heritage; Athletics, Recreation and Fitness; Business and the Professions; Community Building; Women in Construction; Education and Training; Entrepreneurship; Environment; Health and Wellness; Human Services; and Young Women of Excellence. To date, over 350 women have been recognized as pillars in our communities.
