Murder charge laid in death of senior near Camrose

RCMP Major Crimes is investigating a suspected homicide in the community of Armena, which is located 20 km north of Camrose.

On Nov. 8, RCMP say, a female was located deceased in her Armena home.

A male was identified as a suspect and arrested on Nov. 9 in Edmonton.

Nicolas Dagenais, 23, of Fort McMurray is charged with murder in the death of 78-year-old Roslyn Nelson. He is set to appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on Nov. 26.
