Olds man killed in crash south of Calgary

BASSANO – An Olds man was killed in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon on Highway 1, between Brooks and Bassano.

The crash at approximately 2:40 p.m. involved a truck and tow truck.

RCMP say their preliminary investigation has revealed the truck pulling a horse trailer was heading westbound on Highway 1 when it collided with a stationary tow truck that was assisting on a separate call.

The tow truck emergency lights were activated and it was on the side of the highway.
