This past week, Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools has been recognizing School Bus Safety Week.

School bus operators have been participating in various safety-training sessions.

The goal is to keep safety on the forefront not only this week but also each day for students and staff.

“It is important to recognize School Bus Safety Week to bring awareness and to remind the public that School Bus Operators are dedicated to ensuring that school buses remain the safest form of transportation in Canada,” says assistant transportation manager and safety & training coordinator, Kelli Pickett at Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools, in a press release. “Safety just does not end with the School Bus Operators, it includes the skill and expertise of the mechanics that service and maintains our fleet, our school bus wash bay attendant to keep our units clean and to our management team to build safe routes for our students. Our division has a team of dedicated employees on all levels to provide peace of mind for parents that entrust their children in our care.”
