Three-vehicle crash in Penhold

PENHOLD- Firefighters in Penhold responded to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of highways 42 and 2A on Wednesday shortly after 2 p.m.

RCMP shutdown traffic on Highway 42 from 2A to Waskasoo Ave. and traffic was down to alternating lanes north and south on 2A.

One of the vehicles sustained significant damage and the air bags deployed.

There was also some fluids leaking and debris on the highway.

There is no report of any serious injuries.

Penhold Fire Chief Jim Pendergast says, “It is obviously a very busy intersection so we would like to remind people to be conscious of that and patient when driving through it. We respond to incidents there every year.”
