Drayton Valley RCMP Report: Oct. 3-10

October 3

9:24 am – Brazeau County – RR 70 – Complainant reported a B&E in progress at her residence, alarm had gone off, neighbour witnessed someone on property. Members attended, suspects gone, most property recovered at the scene. Evidence seized, still under investigation.

10:30 am – Brazeau County – Lodgepole area – Report of a fence cut and theft of cable from a tower site.

12:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 7/11 – Complainant reports shoplifting from location of about $50 worth of product. Under investigation, suspect identified.

4:27 pm – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge area – Complainant reported that two males entered store, filled a bag with product and left. Under investigation, surveillance video provided to police.

6:32 pm – Brazeau County – Birchwood Village Greens – Complainant reporting that someone tried to enter his residence and several others, his screen had been removed. Under investigation.

October 4

6:07 am – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported his truck window smashed while parked overnight at his hotel. Still under investigation.

9:17 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reported a work yard entered, padlock broken and some cable stolen.

3:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Ave – Complainant reported her license plate stolen, replaced with one from a stolen truck. Stolen truck had been recovered that day so plates were able to be returned to correct vehicle.

8:11 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Ave – Complainant reported a B&E to his garage, occurred over past 24 hours. Tools and a bike stolen. Under investigation.

8:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 St/50 Ave – Complainant reported that a female on a bike kicked at his car, and when he approached her she punched at him, knocking his phone from his hand. Under investigation, suspect identified, charges pending.

October 5

12:25 am – Drayton Valley – Derrick Lounge – Staff reported about 12 people fighting outside the bar. Members attended. A 25-year-old man spent the night in cells to sober up and to prevent him from getting a whooping from someone less intoxicated.

1:39 am – Brazeau County – RR73 – Complainant out of town, received notice of alarm at her residence. Neighbour advised her that someone entered a shop. Member attended but due to time delay suspect had left. Some tools were stolen and a bike left behind.

11:06 – Drayton Valley – Power Center Blvd – Complainant reported that some tools and personal items were stolen from a truck left for service. Under investigation.

October 6

6:30 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Ave – Police attended to assist Fire Dept with fire in basement suite. Fire extinguished, caused by items left on top of stove. Suite had been left unlocked and tenants reported some items missing. Still under investigation.

8:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a male at a residence that wasn’t to be there. Members attended and found no issues, but the 42-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding “pay or stay” warrant. The male was subsequently released after the outstanding fine was payed by mom.

9:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Ave – Domestic dispute, one party attended the others residence and window was broken. Mischief charge laid. Under investigation.

October 7

6:31 am –Drayton Valley – 47 St – Evergreen School site – Complainant reported that overnight someone entered the site, stole some cable and attempted to steal other cables.

9:02 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Complainant reporting window on their 2018 Ram truck was broken sometime overnight, bag of clothes was stolen.

12:41 pm – Brazeau County – RR 70 – Complainant reporting a break and enter to house a week ago. Theft of plastic insulated doors, tools.

October 8

11:49 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant calling to report an erratic driver coming from Frank Maddock High School. Speeding, provided licence plate on black Silverado. Registered owner to be spoken to about their manner of driving.

2:13 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report they received a call from a male who stated that they were from Revenue Canada. Complainant provided SIN number to male before realizing it was a fraud.

2:18 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting theft of a licence plate. Plate had been on their motor home, did not realize the plate had been stolen until they received a ticket from Rockyview Hospital in Calgary.

5:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to residence. TV and tools stolen.

8:27 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – complainant calling to report an injured deer on the highway. Member attended, deer was dead, Member pulled deer off the road.

October 9

8:19 am – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant reporting theft of safe containing personal documents.

9:05 am – Drayton Valley – Rotary Park – Complainant reporting a hit and run. They parked their 2014 grey Hyundai near the splash park and when they returned there was damage to the front end.

10:29 am – Drayton valley – Omniplex Campground – Complainant reporting theft of builders level and theodolite from truck overnight.

2:55 pm – Drayton valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting someone left drug paraphernalia outside. Member attended, clothing was dropped in window well. Member seized items and disposed of them.

10:49 pm – 50 Street – Complainant reporting several items had been taken from their truck sometime overnight.

October 10

2:04 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a Corvette being driven at a high rate of speed, ongoing problem. Member attended residence of owner and provided a warning regarding their manner of driving.
