Parkland Foundation names new building

INNISFAIL – Parkland Foundation is excited to announce the name of its new building – Autumn Grove. The name was chosen by current residents over a few months of voting and discussion.

“This name was a true collaboration between the Board, residents and stakeholders. It fits the theme and spirit of the new building,” said Board Chair Connie Huelsman. “We are also pleased to be on track with construction and look forward to next year’s opening.”

Construction on the new building began in 2017 with an expected completion date of June 30, 2020. Residents will move into their new home a few months after completion.

The lodge is funded by the Government of Alberta as part of its commitment to add capacity to seniors housing. The new building combines lodge and independent living for Parkland Foundation residents. Built on the same land as the existing lodge and seniors self-contained facility, the new building will provide ample space and living for years to come.

Construction is on track so far with the concrete foundations and roofing already completed. Work on the interior has already begun and furniture selection has started.
