Red Deer’s Griffith shoots strong tourney at Senior Championship

A Red Deer golfer placed in the top 10 at the recent Canadian Men’s Senior Championship this week.
Ken Griffith finished +8, good enough for a 9th place tie, at the tournament held at Cedar Brae Golf Club in Toronto.
His final round was a disappointing +6, but the finish is still an improvement on his 54th place finish at last month’s Provincial Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship.
On the second hole of this week’s championship’s second round, Griffith’s birdie secured a Team Alberta win in the interprovincial team event.
