Drayton Valley weekly RCMP report July 25-Aug 1

July 25

8:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Member on the way to work observed a known offender in a stolen truck. Members attended and located the truck which had recently been stolen from Evansburg. Upon arrival one male youth ran and was later arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5000 and held for a hearing and released by the Justice of the Peace. A second male was located in a closet at the Econorest. 24-year-old Timothy Leneveu was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5000. A hearing was held and Leneveu was remanded.

9:01 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft from truck while parked on the street. Back passenger window had been broken and the truck had been gone through. Approximately $10 in change, sweaters and jackets were taken.

12:13 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a break and enter to a storage unit. The Drayton Valley Slo-Pitch League storage cabinet was broken into. Lock had been cut and thrown away. Toilet paper stolen.

11:56 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Complainant reporting hearing feet on the roof above the insurance company. Members attended and located two teens fleeing the scene. They apologized and were advised not to return.

July 26

4:14 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle driving in the neighbourhood with no lights on. Member attended and observed the vehicle which subsequently fled from police.

11:24 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 55 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious male. Male described as 5’10” to 6’2” wearing blue jeans and carrying a garbage can. Appears to be snooping around businesses and eyeing up their black Toyota pickup.

4:08 pm – Drayton Valley – Dairy Queen – Complainant reporting a dog has been left in a diesel truck with the windows up. Members located owner of vehicle who agreed to find something better for the dog.

July 27

2:54 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – Complainant reporting three males walking around outside their residence. Broke their fence and then ran through the 7-11. Boys were on their property trying to get their son to come out.

3:11 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complainant reporting they were attacked with a baseball bat. Members located suspect who admitted to hitting others with bat because they stole their back pack. Matter still under investigation.

3:22 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Westwood Inn Parking Lot – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Plate and VIN did not match. Queries indicated vehicle stolen. 24-year-old Tyrisha Hudson arrested and charged with possession of stolen property as well as tampering with a VIN number. A search incidental to arrest located crystal meth and a further charge of possession of controlled substance. Held for a bail hearing. Justice of Peace released Hudson.

12:17 p.m. – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 492 – Complainant reporting another individual stole two suitcases from their place then took off in a stolen black Dodge.

2:32 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting a male who is on no contact conditions attended their residence. Male had left. Male, 35-year-old Jason Langille was arrested with assistance from Breton RCMP. Numerous breach charges. Bail hearing held, Langille remanded.

3:31 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant reporting suspicious males in the parking lot. Multiple reports from customers have been received. Males are looking into vehicles. One male approximately 50-years-old, balding and wearing grey sweatpants, the other male is approximately 25-years-old wearing a ponytail. Members attended, males had left.

7:16 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Brazeau Dam – Complainant reporting people shooting near the highway all day. Members attended location and located subject. Warning issued. Subject agreed to stop firing for the night.

July 28

2:58 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Canadian Tire – Complainant reporting a male took a skateboard from the store and ran out to their truck. Male is wearing a ball cap, white shirt with black writing. Suspect is the passenger in the vehicle. Male is known to police.

4:38 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Complainant reporting theft of 2005 red Dodge Durango within past two hours.

6:45 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting disturbance. Female is yelling and screaming, related to above complaint. Member attended and arrested female for uttering threats.

7:15 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Complainant reporting a dispute. Members attended and located two females who were bound by a court order of no contact. One party arrested and charged.

10:04 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Hillcrest Manor – Complainant reporting suspicious vehicle. Small green SUV. Member attended, driver identified.

July 29

8:35 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Vehicle plate queried and did not match vehicle it was on. Driver issued a ticket.

10:08 a.m. – 44 Avenue – Complainant reporting their 2005 Ford Focus was stolen sometime overnight. Vehicle located shortly after.

12:39 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Valley Ford – Complainant reporting a break and enter to business sometime over the weekend. Laptop stolen.

1:23 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR 72 – Complainant reporting theft of their purple 2005 Dodge 2500 stolen sometime over the past week.

6:49 p.m. – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge Trailer Court – Complainant reports being harassed and threatened by male. Male arrested and charged. Matter is still under investigation.

July 30

3:46 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Town of Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting that bicycles that had been turned over to the Town for auction had been stolen from their yard.

10:30 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Complainant reporting a barking dog. Members attended the residence, however no one home. Ticket to be issued.

July 31

9:14 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Complainant reporting a possible theft of tools. A male on a bicycle was trying to cover what they thought was a socket set with a blanket, then entered the Coach Motel.

12:41 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant reporting a hit and run while parked in the Wal Mart parking lot.

6:33 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious male checked in under a reservation for another name. Wanted a refund shortly after. Staff refused. Male left. Member patrolled area, did not locate male.

8:47 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant reporting they found a small baggy of what appears to be drugs. Member attended and seized drug.

August 1

7:34 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting they caught a person stealing items from their vehicle. All items were returned.
