Drayton Valley weekly RCMP report July 11-18

July 11

8:35 am – Drayton Valley – Valley Power Site – Complainant reporting 2 males are stealing copper wire from abandoned site. Members attended and made foot patrols throughout the area, Suspects not located, however a bike and backpack had been left behind and were seized.

8:37 AM – Drayton valley – Jubilee Avenue – complainant reporting someone entered their parking lot and stole copper wire between July 7 and July 11. Approximately $8500.00 worth stolen.

12:30 pm – Drayton Valley – Members observed known male digging through detachment garbage. Has been served trespassing ticket in past and is not supposed to be around RCMP detachment. Arrested and issued ticket.

2:13 pm – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant reporting theft of shoes, flashlight, sling shot and bb’s. Male and female in a yellow Ford pickup entered the store and stole several items.

9:33 pm – Drayton Valley – Marks Work Warehouse – Alarm advising that the front door is not secured. Members attended. Suspect is a female who broke in and grabbed three bags of clothing. Female has blonde hair in a pony tail. Very skinny wearing a pink hat, jeans and flip flops. Foot patrols made. Items recovered. Suspect not located.

July 12

2:05 pm – Drayton Valley – Drayton Valley Hospital – Complainant advised that a known female patient has left hospital and did not return for more tests. Members located female at library and returned to the hospital.

3:10 pm – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant reporting a male in the store got angry when they were told they couldn’t open the packaging on a cell phone. Male then threw the device into the cabinet and began yelling and swearing. Male banned from Wal Mart.

July 13

3:42 am – Drayton Valley – Centre Lane Apartments – Members on patrol observed a male they knew to be on warrants. Male arrested and during search located brass knuckles. Richard Fleurbaaij, 32, arrested on outstanding warrants and charged additionally with possession of prohibited weapon and break in tools.

7:29 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a male in a silver four door vehicle was speeding through the construction zone. Member contacted Registered Owner of the vehicle and advised them to watch their manner of driving.

11:26 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – complainant reporting their white 1996 Chevrolet truck was stolen sometime overnight.

7:26 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a erratic driver in a light gold SUV. Several complaints received. Registered owner is from Buck Lake. Member called owner and advised them of their manner of driving.

11:07 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report theft of their 2003 GMC Sierra, black in colour. Suspect vehicle is a white truck.

July 14

7:04 am – Drayton Valley – Tim Hortons – A truck drove through the front of Tim Hortons. EMS and members attended. No injuries to any other persons. Driver of truck suffered a medical emergency.

4:32 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a male is bathing in the oil derrick fountain near the Esso. Male is associated to a black Ford F150. Heavy build, brown hair. Member attended, and located male who was advised they are not to bath in the fountain.

6:06 pm – Drayton Valley – DH Manufacturing – Complainant informed members of a break and enter on a camping trailer. Suspects left the scene in a black truck.

6:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting their contractor took $2700 and stole a power drill that was bought to assist with completion of project. Contractor did not complete the job. Contractor also brought another contractor to assist them. They got into an argument and was asked to leave. He then came back and ripped the new siding off their residence.

July 15

9:52 am – Drayton Valley – Horizon Forest and Garden – Complainant reporting a break and enter to compound. Side gate lock was cut and two people entered the area and stole a log splitter.

2:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft of license plate.

5:35 pm – Drayton Valley – 48A Avenue – Complainant reporting neighbour left residence with loud music on and a sign on the window with profanities.. Member spoke with subject responsible who advised they would remove the sign and quit agitating the situation.

July 16

7:43 am – Drayton Valley – King’s Gate Storage – Complainant reporting a woman who keeps breaking into the secured compound.

8:47 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting their white mens KONA mountain bike and a Black BMX bike with green stickers were stolen from the back of their truck. Locks had been cut.

5:48 pm – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol observed a known male offender on a bike in the residential and commercial area with nothing in their hand. A short time later, the same male was observed emerging from the back alley of Home Hardware carrying a brand new Weiser door lock. Member attempted to stop suspect, however he fled. Matter is still under investigation.

9:25 pm – Drayton Valley – KHAL’s Steakhouse – Complainant reporting a female wearing baggy white and pink shirt and baggy jeans had eaten at the restaurant and left without paying. Members attended, female located and charged.

July 17

8:28 am – Drayton Valley – Lions West Valley Park – Complainant reporting that the C-Can located by Diamond 4 at the Omniplex ball diamonds was broken into. The locks were gone and the door open. Appears that the scoreboard was stolen.

11:26 am – Tomahawk – Complainant reported theft of copper wire sometime over the past weekend. Copper grounding cables were taken from fuel tanks.

3:18 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting lease site was entered and copper wire stolen.

July 18

1:01 am – Drayton valley – Omniplex – Complainant reporting a white Dodge Ram and blue dodge ram area stunting. Member located vehicles and spoke with drivers.

3:03 am – Drayton Valley – Carlton East – Complainant reporting threats by text. Members attended and spoke to complainant. Member reviewed the text messages. No threats.
