Man killed in hiking accident in Crowsnest Pass

CROWSNEST PASS, AB – A man from the Czech Republic has reportedly died following a hiking accident on Crowsnest Mountain.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, RCMP were informed of the incident by EMS responders.

Kananaskis Search and Rescue, Crowsnest Pass Fire Rescue Department, the Conservation Department and Public Lands officials also helped out.

Officials say the 58-year-old was climbing with two friends at the time of the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
