Drayton Valley weekly RCMP report May 23-30

May 23

8:38 a.m. – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Complainant reporting theft of a wallet from an unlocked truck. Credit card has been used at 7-11, McDonalds and some online shopping. Matter is under investigation.

8:40 a.m. – Brazeau County- RR 73 – Complainant reporting a break and enter to their garage and vehicle Items stolen include movies, charger, power drill, sander, baseball equipment, snowboard. Still under investigation.

10:25 a.m. – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Complainant reporting their 2 vehicles were broken into overnight. Wallet and radar detector taken.

11:50 a.m. – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Complainant reporting theft from vehicle sometime overnight. Garage door opener and approximately $5 worth of change taken.

2:12 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to their work trailer. Entry gained through the side door, damage to the door. Tools value of approximately $2000 stolen.

3:33 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft of three bicycles from garage. One is a lime green boys mountain bike. The second is a silver, black and orange Schwinn bike and the third is a white, black, pink and baby blue ladies bike with silver rims. All bicycles had flat tires.

May 24

6:16 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Home Away Inn – Complainant reporting theft of their red and black 1996 Ford F150 had been stolen overnight. Keys were stuck in the ignition. Bank card in vehicle.

7:41 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Ford Dealership – Complainant reporting the locked and gated compound was broken into overnight and customers 2007 charcoal grey F350 stolen.

10:33 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting copper wire was ripped out of the electrical panel and electric rough neck heater is missing from battery site. Entry made by cutting lock off door. Approximately $5000 worth of items stolen, approximately $50,000 damage.

11:50 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting they lost a 100 year commemorative knife in the vicinity of downtown Drayton Valley. If anyone has any information or located the knife, please bring to the Drayton Valley detachment.

12:43 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant reporting an unwanted and intoxicated male. Male came home heavily intoxicated with pants down exposing himself. Member attended. Landlord tenant dispute.

6:37 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Canadian Tire – Complainant reporting a break and enter to a locked compound. Lock cut off and approximately 80 batteries stolen.

May 25

5:05 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Derrick Lounge – Complainant reporting theft of ATM. Cage had been broken into and ATM taken from wall. Matter is still under investigation.

7:30 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting an ATM in the ditch. Damage to back of machine. Members attended, ATM seized.

8:13 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 48B Avenue – Complainant reporting their red/tan 2003 Ford F350 4 door extended cab was stolen overnight. Vehicle has a fuel tank and slip tank in the back along with a “pipeworks sticker” on the side window.

10:18 a.m. – Brazeau County – RR 90 – Complainant reporting they came home and there was blood all over their house, windows and doors. Member attended, appeared to be a hoof print in the blood. Wounded animal had left the area.

9:06 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Members on patrol for another complaint observed vehicle travelling at high rate of speed. Vehicle stopped. Female driver arrested for Impaired driving and taken to detachment. Provincial suspension issued.

May 26

12:12 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed driving at an unreasonable speed. Driver arrested for impaired driving.

1:24 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Centre Lane Apartments – Member on foot patrol by apartment complex and observed two known males sleeping inside a car. Queries on plate indicate stolen. Occupants arrested. Durant Shale, 20, and a female youth arrested for possession of stolen property.

3:01 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Home Hardware – Complainant reporting a shoplifter. Member attended and viewed surveillance. Matter still under investigation.

May 27

11:13 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a rental fraud. Complainant forwarded a money gram for $1200 to Annie Stickland for rent of an apartment in Whistler for June 1. Now cannot contact female. Matter still under investigation.

8:09 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Burger Baron – Complainant reporting a male passed out in the alley behind burger baron. Members attended and located known male who was extremely intoxicated. Male arrested for intoxicated in public

11:02 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting drug activity in area.

May 28

11:31 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant reports theft of a table. Suspect left in a Mazda SUV. Still under investigation .

11:26 a.m. – Brazeau County – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reporting a break and enter to the water treatment facility. Suspects damaged a door attempting to gain entry.

1:20 p.m. – Cynthia – Complainant reported theft of a light tower from a job site.

4:05 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR 91 – Complainant reporting known male is on neighbours property and is taking apart the neighbours skidder. Not supposed to be on the property. Members attended and located male who took off. Charges will be laid as male is known to police.

9:04 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Complainant reporting theft of 2002 red Ford

May 29

9:58 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting theft of site glass from lease site.

1:05 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR 91 – Complainant reporting someone had driven onto their property and damaged their crops.

3:54 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a fraud. Complainant applied for a loan with Corefund Credit and was approved. They requested a $1250 deposit which they sent by e-mail transfer. They then asked for insurance payment of $800, which was sent. Has not received the loan money.

6:34 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant reporting a vehicle with three teenagers in it struck a pedestrian. No injuries but wanted driver spoken to. Member called the registered owner who advised their daughter was driving and would address the issue.

9:22 p.m. – Drayton Valley Hospital – Complainant is reporting having difficulty with a dementia patient who wanted to leave. Members attended and spoke with male who was reasonable. Family attended to assist.

May 30

2:52 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a person who was talking on their cell phone. Member detected alcohol impairment. 24 hour suspension.

4:58 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant called 911 as they went to work and found a male sleeping in a customers truck. Suspect took off on foot. Described as approximately 5’8”, wearing a dark tank top and jeans.

7:08 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Canadian Tire – Complainant reporting Garden Centre was broken into, hedge trimmer and three bicycles stolen. Matter is still under investigation.

7:43 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting they located one of the bicycles stolen earlier along with some methamphetamine. Member attended and seized both items.
