Campaign Trail: Kenney visits Red Deer on day five

Day five of the election campaign trail wasn’t a very busy one.

Alberta Liberal Party leader David Khan spent his Saturday in Calgary where he was door-knocking and making phone calls before taking part in Pakistani Day celebrations.

NDP leader Rachel Notley only made one public appearance, this afternoon in Edmonton’s Strathcona neighbourhood for a photo-op.

UCP leader Jason Kenney made a campaign stop in Red Deer to make a policy announcement. 

The nine-part ‘Fair Deal’ plan calls for Alberta to stop getting “ripped off” as Kenney put it by Ottawa. More details are on our Alberta Election page.

After that announcement, Kenney met with supporters and fellow candidates Adriana LaGrange and Jason Stephan at the former’s campaign HQ on the north end.

Stephen Mandel, leader of the Alberta Party, and the Freedom Conservative Party’s Derek Fildebrandt, did not make any scheduled appearances.
