Alberta male hockey team announced for 2019 Canada Winter Games
Hockey Alberta has announced the roster for the U16 Male team that will represent the province at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer.
“The depth of hockey talent in this province is significant, which resulted in many difficult decisions for us,” said Head Coach Bobby Fox. “Our staff is excited to work with this group of 20 players moving forward to the Canada Winter Games.”
Two Red Deer Rebels prospects have made the team, Jayden Grubbe and Kyle Masters, who the team selected in the first round of the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
Grubbe has collected 21 points in 20 games this season with the Midget AAA Calgary Buffaloes. Masters has 12 points in 22 games with OHA Edmonton Prep.
