One person dead in crash near Slave Lake

One person has died in a head-on crash between a pickup and a semi in northern Alberta.
RCMP say it happened on Friday evening on Highway 88, about 40 kilometres north of Slave Lake.
The female passenger of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the pickup suffered serious injuries.
Police say at the time of the crash there were reports of slush on the roadway and light snowfall.
