Sep 21, 2018 | 2:51 PM

Mounties are thanking the public for their assistance after arresting two men wanted in relation to a Ponoka liquor store robbery last month.

The robbery occurred on the night of August 11 at Hammy’s Liquor Store in Ponoka.

Three males had entered the store, one masked and waving a knife at the store employee while a second man stole liquor and a third male manned the door. All three fled in a vehicle.

Early the next morning, one of the suspects, 18-year-old Patrick Andrew Littlechild, was taken into custody by Maskwacis RCMP on an unrelated matter, which helped Mounties identify the other two suspects.

Littlechild was charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, disguise with intent to commit an offence and robbery.

Maskwacis RCMP arrested 27-year-old Catlin Ermineskin and 30-year-old Kelly Ermineskin on September 19 and charged them each with one count of armed robbery. Catlin has been remanded to appear in Ponoka provincial court on September 21 while Kelly is to appear on October 5.
