Red Deer mechanic heads to Toronto for national competition

A Red Deer mechanic is one of only from eight across Canada who has qualified for the Yamaha Canadian Technician Grand Prix, taking place at Yamaha Motor Canada in Toronto this week.
Patrick Gibson works for Cycle Works Motorsports and brings 14 years of experience to the competition.
The Silver Certified / Gold Candidate from Yamaha Technical Academy started at the dealership in 2005 doing Pre-Delivery Inspections and is now organizing and overseeing day to day operations at the shop.
With a passion for building performance engines and keeping people at the front of the pack, no detail is overlooked or too small according to Gibson.
