EDMONTON – A woman who is accused of ramming a vehicle into the side of an Edmonton fast-food restaurant and critically injuring a senior is facing additional charges.

Donna Elder, 60, was charged with aggravated assault last week after a woman was found lying on a sidewalk outside a west Edmonton KFC.

Elder appeared in court and is now also facing charges of attempted murder and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Security camera video from an auto repair shop across the street appears to show a sport utility vehicle strike the 85-year old woman and push her into the side of the restaurant.
