Jun 20, 2018 | 7:09 AM

BLACKFALDS-  The Town will be hosting its second Open House to present updates, changes and the next steps in the Northwest Area Master Stormwater Management Plan on June 27 at the Blackfalds Community Centre.

Over the past year, the Town has worked with its partners and stakeholders to address concerns and issues brought forth from the June 2017 Open House.

The public is invited to learn more as the updated project plan is presented on Wednesday, June 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Blackfalds Community Centre.

The Northwest Area Master Stormwater Management Plan for the Town of Blackfalds aligns with the Wolf Creek and Whelp Brook Watershed Master Drainage Plan.

It was developed to protect the important watershed, which was adopted regionally in 2014.

The Town’s consultants from Stantec will be at the open house to present the latest plans on the project and to answer any questions.

Stantec will provide a presentation that demonstrates how the full build-out of the future northwest development area in Blackfalds will responsibly manage stormwater.

The presentation will provide an update to the public on the additional efforts completed to-date as part of the Water Act Approval process.

The Town of Blackfalds welcomes the public’s input and involvement.
