Public assists Innisfail RCMP in making 3 arrests

While investigating officers observed a silver GMC truck begin to pull into the lease site and quickly reverse to leave.

The pickup was confirmed to be the same one that aided in pulling the stolen truck/trailer out of the ditch.

Police were able to stop the truck and arrested three people for possession of stolen property.

In a search of the pickup officers found a loaded firearm and other items.

Three people are now facing charges.

Mark Kennedy, 28, of Red Deer faces a number of drug and firearms charges and appears in Red Deer court on June 18.

Natasha Deschambeault, 30, of Red Deer faces charges of drug possession and breach of probation and appears in Red Deer court on June 7.

Lester Martin, 32, of Lacombe has been charged with drug possession and will be in Red Deer court on July 25.

Mounties say the arrests are a great example of alert citizens collecting good information to provide to police, and reporting the information right away, and their efforts are appreciated.

Cooperation between the RCMP and the public is instrumental to the success of our Crime Reduction efforts.

The simple act of reporting any suspicious activity and/or crime provides us with the necessary information by which we gather intelligence.
