Two schools in north Red Deer were placed under “hold and secure” for a brief time Monday afternoon.
G.H. Dawe School and St. Patrick’s Community School were under hold and secure at around 1 p.m.
Mounties were responding to a complaint of a possible gunshot heard north of the schools, according to an RCMP spokesperson.
The complaint could not be substantiated and had nothing to do with the schools directly, which were put into hold and secure as a precaution.
