Parking lot re-construction set to begin at Servus Arena & Pidherney Centre

Re-construction of the parking lot at Red Deer’s Servus Arena, Pidherney Centre and Downtown Skate Park will start on Monday, April 30.

City officials say the work involves removing the existing asphalt, repairing underground utilities, re-grading the sub-base, replacing portions of damaged curbs, improving drainage and laying new asphalt.

A raised pedestrian walkway will also be built in front of the Servus Arena to the south end of Rotary Recreation Park.

Officials say the work will take place in phases to allow for limited parking and additional parking available at the gravel parking lot across the street or at the Kinex Arena in-behind the Servus Arena.
