Law Day 2018 offering free legal advice to Albertans April 21

Good news for Albertans currently in need of some legal advice.

In recognition of Law Day 2018 on April 21, Albertans in need of some legal consultation will be able to access it, free-of-charge over the phone for 15 – 20 minutes between 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The Dial-a-Lawyer service is part of the province’s Law Day initiative and means residents can make inquiries pertaining to Family Law, Immigration Law, Criminal Law, Wills & Estates and Civil Litigation.

The province-wide event is hosted by the Canadian Bar Association – Alberta Branch and aims to make the Canadian judicial system more accessible and understandable to Albertans.

Law Day activities will be taking place in Alberta cities such as Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Fort McMurray, Medicine Hat and St. Paul. There are no Law Day activities scheduled for Red Deer in 2018.
